Chapter 6- Haste Mode
Jayden silently swore under his breath as he sighed out in frustration while Nathan had a sick smile on his face with the knowledge that he had more time now.
Jayden tried to run over to Nathan and grab his gun, but Nathan grabbed hold of Jayden’s leg, and Jayden fell to the floor.
“Nathan just let me win this!” Jayden yelled with anger.
“No way, I have to win this, I have to!” Was Nathan’s reply as he pulled Jayden towards him to get a better grip. Jayden flipped himself onto his side so he could smack Nathan again with the bar. Nathan grabbed the bar with his free hand and pulled it from Jayden’s hold.
“Why are you so determined to win this round? Its not like you haven't won a million times before!” Jayden shouted, anger clear in his voice as he tried to pull his leg out of Nathan’s grip.
“Because Cass told me to win this!”
“The redhead?” Jayden questioned, able to tell Nathan’s feelings for her. “Shes just a floozy!” Jayden said with a slight laugh in his voice, which only pissed of Nathan. Nathan got to his knees, and hit Jayden across the face with the bar. Jayden screamed in pain as his hands flew to cover his heavily bleeding face.
“Say that again, I DARE YOU!” Nathan screamed, raising the bar up high. Jayden looked at Nathan with fear filling his widened eyes.
“No!” Jayden cried out as Nathan swung the bar again, hitting Jayden on his hands so hard that Nathan heard the bones painfully breaking. Jayden again screamed in pain and he held his hands to his chest and rolled back onto his side. Nathan held the bar up again and with all his anger swung the bar to hit the back of Jaydens head, hearing another cracking noise, followed by a beep from both men’s watches.
Nathan looked down onto Jayden’s now limp body, a pool of blood forming from underneath his cracked open head. Nathan let the bar fall to the floor with a loud clank and held up his watch to see the red words “Traitors Win.”
